A collection of fine porcelain dinnerware manufactured by Royal Worcester in the Worcester Herbs pattern. The service comprises a variety of circular pieces including dinner plates, salad or dessert plates, side plates, and soup or cereal bowls. Each item is decorated with a central botanical transfer-printed design featuring various culinary herbs and butterflies. Specimens identified include Black Mustard (Brassica nigra), Sage (Salvia officinalis), and Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis). The decoration is completed by a peripheral floral border and a green-lined rim. The underside of the pieces features a red printed backstamp including the factory logo and text: ROYAL WORCESTER ® FINE PORCELAIN, MADE IN ENGLAND, © 1990 ROYAL WORCESTER, WORCESTER HERBS, DISHWASHER SAFE, MICROWAVE SAFE, FREEZER SAFE. A grey printed numeric mark 50 00 is also present on some bases.
