Lot 885: A Pair of Reproduction Mahogany Regency Style Bow Fronted Whatnots
A pair of reproduction mahogany Regency-style whatnots or side cabinets. Each unit is constructed from mahogany and mahogany-veneered wood with a dark polished finish. The design features a raised top shelf with a shaped gallery back and sides, supported by four spindle-turned columns. Below the top section is a single bow-fronted drawer fitted with two circular brass-style drop-ring handles. The lower section consists of two fixed, open shelves with curved front edges. Each unit is of single-piece construction. There are no manufacturer’s marks or labels visible. One unit bears a white rectangular sticker with the text Lot 885 and two small pink circular stickers marked 32 are present on the surfaces.
