A vintage British made vertical photographic enlarger produced by Gnome Photographic Products Ltd. This Alpha model is constructed with a metal lamp house featuring a distinctive grey hammertone finish. The unit is equipped with pleated black bellows for focusing and is mounted on a wooden baseboard. The lamp house displays an oval blue and silver badge reading GNOME BRITISH MADE and a rectangular black and silver badge with the word Alpha in cursive script. A red teardrop shaped swing out safety filter is positioned below the bellows assembly. A white paper sticker from HCP Auctions South West, Lot 888, is currently adhered to the head of the unit.
