Lot 932: Singer Model 201K Tan Crinkle Finish Electric Sewing Machine with Accessories and Case
A Singer Model 201K electric sewing machine featuring a tan crinkle finish. The horizontal arm displays the gold-tone text The Singer Manufacturing Co. and a circular gold-tone manufacturer’s badge is fixed to the pillar. A small black identification plate on the base is marked 201K. The serial number EJ936996 is stamped into the metal plate on the front edge of the base, identifying this as a 1954 production from the Kilbowie factory in Scotland. This model features an aluminium body and is fitted with a rear-mounted electric motor and work light. The machine is mounted upon a wooden base and is accompanied by a wooden bentwood-style dome cover and a black metal accessory box with a purple velvet-lined interior containing various presser feet and sewing attachments.
