Lot 945: A Set of Six Victorian Chippendale Revival Mahogany Dining Chairs
A set of six Victorian mahogany dining chairs in the Chippendale Revival style, circa 1910–1930. Each chair has a shaped and carved crest rail above a decorative pierced vase-shaped splat, with a removable padded seat upholstered in mustard-gold woven fabric, raised on square tapering legs united by stretchers.
The chairs display general wear, scratches and marks consistent with age and use. The upholstery is a later replacement and shows some wear and marking. One lower stretcher appears to have damage or an old repair. Please refer to the photographs for condition.
