Lot 950: A Brutalist Rustic Carved Pine Three-Legged Hall Chair
A rustic hall chair of tripod form, constructed from heavy pine planks with a dark stained finish. The high back features a pointed-arch top and hand-carved decorative motifs, including a central heraldic shield with diagonal bands positioned below a stylised crown or helmet design. The lower portion of the backrest is embellished with vertical rows of carved circular depressions. The seat consists of a heavy, roughly hewn plank with a scalloped front edge, joined to the back with visible wooden pegs. It is supported by three stout, cylindrical legs. A pink circular label marked 32 and a white rectangular auction label marked 950 are present on the seat.
