Lot 985: George III Mahogany Chest of Three Drawers
A George III mahogany chest of drawers featuring three full-width drawers. The design is characterised by three parallel horizontal mouldings applied to each drawer front. The piece is furnished with brass willow-pattern backplates, also known as batwing plates, featuring bail handles and central brass escutcheons. The chest is constructed with mahogany primary wood and is set upon a moulded base with bracket feet. A small rectangular auction tag bearing the number 945 is attached to the top right edge.
