Lot 561: A Set of Gilt Bamboo Pattern Porcelain Coffee and Tea Items
A partial service of white glazed porcelain coffee and tea items featuring a stylized bamboo or grass motif. The decoration is rendered in fine gilt lines across all pieces. The collection includes several demitasse cups with flared rims and scrolled handles, corresponding saucers with wavy edges, an ovoid lidded sugar bowl with twin scrolled handles and a pointed gilded finial, and a small milk jug with a broad pouring lip. The items are constructed from white porcelain with gilt application likely applied via transfer printing or hand-lustre. There are no visible maker marks, backstamps, or factory signatures on the bases.
