Lot 568: A Collection of Decorative Ceramic Tableware Including Wedgwood Mirabelle and Johnson Bros Snowhite
A collection of mixed decorative and functional ceramic tableware. The assortment features a Wedgwood bone china serving bowl in the Mirabelle pattern (R4537), decorated with multi-coloured floral sprigs and a gilded rim, bearing the Wedgwood vase backstamp. The group includes two Johnson Bros ironstone plates from the Snowhite range, featuring blue floral sprigs and wheat stalk borders, marked with the maker’s crown symbol. Further pieces include a twin-handled serving plate in a traditional Imari palette of cobalt blue and iron red with gold gilding; a medium scalloped bowl with paneled floral and geometric motifs in underglaze blue and overglaze red; a small oval dish with blue and white transfer-printed foliate decoration; and three decorative saucers comprising a light blue glazed example with white relief-molded foliate borders, a cobalt blue saucer with a white centre, and a white saucer with floral sprays and a gilded rim.
