Lot 591: Two Royal Doulton Classic Pooh Figurines Christopher Dresses the Tree and I Love You So Much Bear
These two hand-painted ceramic figurines are produced by Royal Doulton as part of the Classic Pooh series, each presented in its original illustrated retail box. The first piece, titled Christopher Dresses the Tree (WP 57) from the Christmas Collection, features Christopher Robin in a winter ensemble with a red and white hat, red scarf, green sweater, and black boots, holding a purple ornament atop a cobblestone-textured base. The second piece, titled I Love You So Much Bear (WP 46) from the Love and Friendship Collection, depicts Winnie the Pooh and Piglet embracing; Pooh wears a pink scarf and Piglet a teal sweater with a pink scarf, standing on a circular straw-textured base. Both figurines possess a gloss glaze finish. The underside of each base features a black printed factory backstamp including the Royal Doulton name, Classic Pooh logo, Disney copyright, and the specific model information dated 2003. The original cardboard packaging features character illustrations in the style of E.H. Shepard.
