Lot 607: A Trio of Pressed Glass Tableware including a Tiffin-Franciscan Moon and Star Footed Bowl
This collection of clear pressed glass tableware comprises three distinct pieces. The primary item is a footed bowl in the Moon and Star pattern, also known as Palace, manufactured by Tiffin-Franciscan. The design features large, circular, acid-etched frosted moons alternating with pressed stars. The bowl is constructed with a scalloped rim and tapers to a short stem and a matching footed base, with visible mould seams consistent with the pressing process. The second item is a small clear glass cream jug decorated with geometric starbursts and diamond-cut style panels in imitation of cut crystal. It features a single moulded handle and a scalloped rim, with a distinct mould seam running through the handle and down the body. The third piece is a shallow oval serving dish in a Near Cut style, featuring a central starburst within an oval medallion, surrounded by radiating geometric and foliate motifs. The dish is finished with a serrated toothed rim. No maker’s marks are visible on any of the pieces.
