Lot 802: A matching two-piece contemporary light hardwood storage suite comprising a large blanket chest and side chest
A matching two-piece contemporary storage suite in a Modern Craftsman style. The items are constructed from a light-toned hardwood, such as maple or birch, with a clear lacquer finish. The design features decorative exposed dark wood rectangular tenons on the top surfaces and side panels. The large storage chest features a double-hinged lid providing top access to a blanket compartment, and a facade of ten drawers arranged in five columns of two. The accompanying side chest contains nine drawers in a three-by-three configuration. Both pieces are fitted with arched brushed metal bar handles, oriented horizontally on the large chest and vertically on the side chest. This is heavy furniture requiring a two-person lift.
