A vintage Matchbox Lesney 1916 A.E.C. Osram Lamps lorry, produced as part of the Models of Yesteryear series. The vehicle is constructed from die-cast metal and features a pale grey body and matching integral chassis, with an open cab design and open-spoke wheels. The cargo area is finished with promotional livery for Osram Lamps, consisting of a red rectangular decal with white lettering reading OSRAM LAMPS and smaller text below stating G. E. C. LONDON to both sides. The underside of the chassis is embossed with the characters MODELS OF YESTERYEAR, No 6, MADE IN ENGLAND BY LESNEY, A.E.C., 1916, and Y-6. The item is accompanied by a plain cardboard box featuring an adhesive white paper label reading MATCHBOX YESTERYEAR, Y6 – 1916 A.E.C., OSRAM LAMPS, and 1st SERIES. A second adhesive sticker from HCP Auctions South West identifies the lot as 233.
