Lot 227: A Collection of Vintage Steel Workshop Hand Tools
A collection of vintage steel workshop hand tools, comprising a variety of spanners, screwdrivers, and mechanical implements. The set includes combination, ring, and open-ended spanners in both metric and imperial sizes, primarily constructed from chrome vanadium and drop-forged steel. Legible maker marks include a large combination spanner stamped ‘CHROME RO-BUCK VANADIUM 18’, a spanner marked ‘HEYCO 350 GERMANY’ and ‘3/4 AF’, and individual pieces marked ’22’, ’13’, and ‘9/16’. The screwdriver selection features contoured plastic handles in blue and red, with visible branding for ‘SEALEY TOOLS’ and ‘HALFORDS Chrom-Van No. 2’. The group also contains a socket ratchet handle with a knurled steel grip and a separate drill chuck. A strip of yellow adhesive tape is applied to a drawer divider, bearing the handwritten number ‘7290’ in black ink. The items are presented within a dark-finished metal drawer.
