Lot 238: A Vintage News of the World Paper Newspaper Collection
A vintage News of the World paper newspaper collection, featuring the historic special souvenir final edition dated 10 July 2011. The primary issue, number 8,674, commemorates the final publication of the title after 168 years and features a front-page montage of past covers beneath a large white block headline reading THANK YOU. The lot includes a quantity of assorted newspapers and items of paper ephemera stored within a worn cardboard box, with several items housed in protective clear plastic sleeves. The older newsprint layers show significant signs of age, including tanning and foxing to the edges. A black plastic double-ring cup holder accessory is included on top of the papers; there are no manufacturer marks or labels visible on this component.
