Lot 449: A Vintage HMV Floral Record Case and Assorted Audio Equipment
A vintage HMV floral record case and assorted audio equipment, from the Mid-20th Century period. The record storage case features a flip-top lid and a textured cream and grey floral pattern, with a central adhesive label depicting the Nipper dog logo and the text His Master’s Voice. Contained within are multiple records vertically stacked in aged brown paper sleeves. The collection includes a capacitance electronic disc (CED) for the 1978 film Coma, presented in an MGM/UA Home Video sleeve marked CED VIDEODISC. Accompanying audio gear includes a gold-toned handheld microphone marked JVC DYNAMIC, a black unbranded microphone, and several pairs of over-ear headphones. One pair of headphones bears a metal plate marked SONICS HS-42, while another is marked STEREO HEADPHONE. Media items include three BBC FX Super Ferric C90 audio cassettes, a TDK TV 180 VHS tape, and a small clear plastic reel-to-reel spool.
