Lot 484: A Set of Vintage RCR Royal Crystal Rock Cut Lead Crystal Wine / Sherry Glasses
A set of vintage RCR Royal Crystal Rock cut lead crystal wine / sherry glasses, comprising two pairs of stemware in differing sizes. Each glass is constructed from high-clarity crystal featuring a traditional deep cutting pattern. The lower portion of each bowl is decorated with a wide band of diamond criss-cross cuts, surmounted by vertical fan-shaped motifs extending towards the rim. The stems are multifaceted with notched details, leading to circular feet with multi-point radiating star-cut patterns to the undersides. A legible acid-etched mark is present to the centre of the base on each piece, consisting of a circle containing the letters R, C, R with the word ROYAL etched along the top curve and CRISTALLERIA along the bottom curve. One larger glass bears a white adhesive auction lot sticker for HCP Auctions South West, numbered 484.
