The large circular plate is fashioned from cream-coloured earthenware, marketed as Queen’s Ware, and features a transfer-printed central calendar for the year 2003. The design is encircled by four botanical sections representing the seasons: Spring with daffodils and pansies; Summer with lilies and roses; Autumn with oak leaves, acorns, and berries; and Winter with holly, ivy, and Christmas roses. The reverse bears a black printed mark featuring a stylized W logo above WEDGWOOD ENGLAND 1759, QUEEN’S WARE, and the text THIS EXCLUSIVE CALENDAR PLATE HAS BEEN SPECIALLY COMMISSIONED FOR above a Daily Mail logo. The small bone china dish is modelled in the form of a scallop shell and decorated in the Clementine pattern with a garland of blue floral sprigs. The base is marked with a black printed Portland Vase logo above WEDGWOOD, Bone China, MADE IN ENGLAND, CLEMENTINE, and R4445. The oval bone china basket features a scalloped rim and a fixed overhead handle with a twisted-rope effect, decorated with the Cascade pattern of pink and blue floral sprigs. The base bears a black printed Portland Vase logo above WEDGWOOD, Bone China, MADE IN ENGLAND, and CASCADE, alongside a small C mark.
