Lot 1006: A Vintage Floral Painted Pine Nightstand
A vintage floral painted pine nightstand featuring an open upper compartment and a single cupboard door below. The carcass is constructed from pine with a cream-painted finish, featuring a decorative scalloped top rail over the open shelf area. The single inset-panel cupboard door is decorated with a hand-painted floral motif consisting of three reddish-orange flowers and green leaves. The door frame is joined with visible mortise and tenon joints and opens to an unpainted natural wood interior equipped with a simple metal magnetic or ball catch. The cabinet is finished with a thin board back panel and rests on a simple plinth-style base. A white adhesive lot tag is attached to the top left side marked 1088, and a second white adhesive tag is located on the front top edge marked 1088 with additional illegible handwriting below.

Condition report:
The painted finish exhibits significant wear throughout, including widespread chipping, scuffing, and thinning of the paint, most notably along the edges, corners, and the top surface (photo 1). The interior of both the open compartment and the cupboard shows signs of use with dirt, scuffing, and visible white paint splashes (photo 2). General surface abrasions and small dents consistent with age are present across the piece.
