Lot 1012: A Collection of Vintage Mixed Ceramics Glass and Metalware
A collection of vintage mixed ceramics, glass, and metalware, comprising an assortment of domestic and ornamental pieces including jugs, vases, bowls, and tableware. The ceramic selection features various forms such as a blue and white porcelain vase with scrolling foliate motifs, a large earthenware bowl with a mottled orange and cream lead glaze, and a green-lidded stoneware storage pot. The lot also includes a terracotta pitcher with a green-glazed handle and interior, alongside a collection of plates featuring a square pink Art Deco example with a silver-toned scrollwork border. Decorative items include a miniature cobalt blue vase with gilt floral accents and a ceramic figurine of a woman in a gown. Metalware elements include two hammered tankards and a circular wire mesh flower frog. No factory backstamps or maker’s marks are legible on the items; however, a white adhesive label reading ‘1012’ is visible in the second box.
Condition report:
The items are presented in a used, as found condition within cardboard boxes (Photo 1). General signs of age-related wear are present, including surface dirt and light scratching to the glazed surfaces of the plates and bowls (Photo 4). Minor crazing is visible on the interior of the mottled earthenware bowl (Photo 2). No major structural cracks, significant chips, or signs of professional repair are apparent from the provided photographs (Photos 1-4).
