Lot 1020: A Vintage Maud's Shoes Pattern Bisque Porcelain Doll Component Set
A vintage Maud’s Shoes pattern bisque porcelain doll component set, comprising several unpainted elements for a single doll. The collection includes a flesh-toned bisque porcelain head featuring moulded ears, a bald crown, and open eye sockets ready for the insertion of glass eyes. Also present are four limb sections consisting of two arms and two legs, with the legs featuring distinctive moulded footwear in the form of lace-up boots. A shoulder plate or torso section completes the primary porcelain parts. The items are slip-cast with a smooth, matte finish designed for china painting. Included within the storage box is a small yellowed card containing accessory pieces, possibly eyelashes or eye components. The plain white cardboard lid bears an adhesive label from HCP-Auctions South West reading Lot 1020 and handwritten black ink text stating Bisque Ready to Paint Maud’s Shoes.
Condition report:
The bisque porcelain components appear to be in good, unused condition with no visible chips, cracks, or surface markings to the porcelain (photo 2). The small accessory card is heavily yellowed and shows signs of significant age-related discolouration (photo 2). The cardboard storage box is in poor condition, showing significant structural wear, crushing to the corners, and large brown liquid or water stains across the lid (photo 1).
