Lot 554: A Collection of Vintage Colclough Bone China and Decorative Ceramic Tablewares
A collection of vintage Colclough bone china and decorative ceramic tablewares, comprising various plates, a serving platter, and sets of espresso cups and saucers. The group includes a large oval platter featuring a scalloped cobalt blue border with an intricate multi-coloured floral transfer pattern, and a cream-coloured dish with a central floral spray and a yellow scrollwork border. A pair of emerald green espresso cups and matching saucers are decorated in a neo-classical style with gilded cherubs and white acanthus scrollwork. One plate bears a circular red backstamp reading 66 99 above Colclough China, MADE IN LONGTON ENGLAND, 4, BONE CHINA, and GENUINE; a separate brown mark resembling a stylized letter H is also present. The pieces exhibit varying decorative motifs including floral sprays, scrolls, and neo-classical figures across the different ceramic bodies.
