Lot 574: A Vintage R. Churchill Framed Cockerel Print
A vintage R. Churchill framed cockerel print, depicting a poultry subject in profile against a textured blue-grey background. The work is a commercial lithographic print on paper, housed behind glass. The cockerel is rendered with detailed white plumage, a red comb and wattle, and prominent dark, iridescent tail feathers. It is mounted in a substantial composite frame featuring a gilded inner slip and a wide, dark-stained wooden outer moulding with a heavily distressed, weathered finish. Signed in the print at the lower right corner R. Churchill. A handwritten white adhesive card attached to the glass reads 2393 / R. CHURCHILL FRAMED / COCKEREL PRINT. / RESERVE £20.
