Lot 582: Vintage Bose Plastic and Metal SoundDock Digital Music System
A vintage Bose plastic and metal SoundDock digital music system. The unit is constructed with a high-gloss black plastic housing and a rectangular grey metal mesh grille. It features an integrated 30-pin Apple docking cradle designed for compatibility with legacy iPod and iPhone models. The manufacturer’s name is visible as a printed logo reading BOSE on the front of the dock and as a larger logo on the rear casing. The unit has simple volume controls marked with + and – symbols located on the docking platform. It is accompanied by a Bose-branded black AC power adapter with a detailed manufacturer’s label on the underside.
Condition report:
The speaker system exhibits significant cosmetic wear with heavy dust, fingerprints, and smudging visible across the gloss black finish (photo 1). A white rectangular sticker reading 32 is applied to the side of the casing (photo 1). The power supply has a severed or heavily frayed electrical lead near the entry point of the adapter brick, leaving internal wiring exposed (photo 3). The item is sold as an untested lot with its functional and electronic status unknown.
