Lot 608: A Vintage Black-Finished Metal and Woven Grasscloth Wall Sconce
A vintage black-finished metal and woven grasscloth wall sconce of long, rectangular form. The fixture comprises a box-frame constructed from black-finished metal, likely steel or aluminium, housing an inset shade panel of woven natural fibre in a light-brown tone. This textured panel serves to diffuse light across the length of the fixture. The piece is fitted with a square terminal mounting bracket which contains the electrical connection and from which a black power cord exits. No manufacturer’s marks or stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces. The frame carries a white adhesive auction lot tag which reads HCP Auctions South West, Lot 608, and www.hcpauctions.net.
