Lot 1117: A Vintage Grey Painted Four-Tier Shelving Unit / Etagere
A vintage grey painted four-tier shelving unit / etagere, of open-frame construction suitable for retail display or domestic storage. The unit is built from flat-profile wooden or composite slats finished in a matte grey paint, featuring four tray-style shelves with raised borders to three sides. The frame is secured with visible metal flat-head screws. On the underside of one shelf, a small white square adhesive label is present, featuring a single black character that is not clearly legible as a name or manufacturer, appearing as a stylised ‘E’ or ‘B’. An additional plain white rectangular adhesive label is affixed to the front edge of the second shelf, containing no legible characters.

Condition report:
The unit is in a used, as-found state. It is heavily soiled with surface dust and grime across all surfaces (photos 1 and 2). There are multiple scuffs, scratches, and minor paint chips to the edges of the frame and the interior of the shelves consistent with previous utility (photo 1). The structure appears stable and sound despite the cosmetic wear.
