The upper rack is fitted with two open shelves featuring plate grooves, flanking a central tier of two small cupboards with leaded glass diamond-pane doors and ornate metal hinges. The base unit features a flat counter-top above a configuration of two vertically stacked drawers to the left and a pair of cupboards to the right. The drawers are assembled with machine-cut dovetail joints. The oak is finished in a dark stain and embellished with decorative carved rosettes to the rack uprights and star-patterned geometric motifs to the drawer and cupboard fronts. Hardware consists of antiqued dark metal ring pulls on decorative backplates and H-style strap hinges. A white rectangular adhesive tag is fixed to the upper edge of the base unit, bearing the handwritten numerals 43. No permanent manufacturer labels or stamps are visible.
Large-scale furniture items; exact dimensions are not provided.
Condition report:
The dresser shows visible surface wear consistent with age and use. The counter-top of the base unit exhibits several scuffs, scratches, and a small white splash mark (photo 1). Further abrasions and finish wear are visible along the lower edges and frame (photo 4 and 5). The piece is dusty from storage, and the lower cupboard handles are currently tied shut with string (photo 1). The leaded glass panes appear intact and the joinery remains secure (photo 6).
