Lot 1146: A Vintage Stained Pine Two-Part Welsh Dresser
A vintage stained pine two-part Welsh dresser in a country style, finished with a medium honey-oak stain. The upper section features a central open shelving unit with two fixed shelves, flanked by two cabinets with single-pane glazed doors and shaped inner framing. The interior back is finished with vertical tongue-and-groove panelling. The lower base section comprises three frieze drawers above three raised-panel cupboard doors, all supported by a plinth base with a shaped front apron. The drawers are fitted with brass-tone drop bail handles on rectangular backplates, while the cupboards feature matching circular knob handles. A white rectangular label on the top right corner of the upper section is printed with 1146, and a similar label positioned above the top rail is printed with 1144. A small white adhesive label is affixed to the centre backboard of the shelving section, but the text is not legible. A partial white label is visible on the interior floor of one drawer, with its text mostly obscured.

Condition report:
The dresser is in good used condition with wear consistent with age and domestic use. There are minor surface scuffs, shallow scratches, and small indentations to the wood, particularly on the base top and along the leading edges (photo 1). The glazing in both upper doors is intact (photos 2 and 3). The hardware is complete and appears to be original to the piece (photo 4). The drawer interiors show light wear but no structural damage (photo 5).
