A vintage mid-century modernist cast metal stylised animal sculpture, potentially representing a giraffe, characterised by a highly attenuated neck and simplified, abstract anatomical features. The figure is rendered with a rough, pitted surface and a dark, mottled patina consistent with Brutalist-inspired decorative metalwork. It is mounted upon an integral, heavy circular metal base that exhibits significant surface oxidation. A small white rectangular adhesive label is present on the figure’s flank, though it bears no legible text or identification. The casting is industrial in appearance with visible surface irregularities and a coarse finish throughout the form. No signatures, foundry marks, or edition numbers are visible on either the animal or the base.

The circular base exhibits extensive surface oxidation and heavy rust around the circumference and top surface (photo 1). The cast metal body shows a rough, pitted texture with an uneven patina and light dust accumulation consistent with age (photo 1). A small, faded white adhesive label is adhered to the flank; it is illegible and shows signs of peeling (photo 1). There are no visible structural breaks, bends, or repairs to the elongated neck or legs (photo 2).
