Lot 761: A Vintage Acctim Quartz Pendulum Wall Clock
A vintage Acctim quartz pendulum wall clock, featuring a traditional dark wood-finished case with a moulded pediment and base. The round white dial is framed by a gold-tone bezel and features black Roman numerals, black spade-style hour and minute hands, and a thin black sweep second hand. The dial is printed with the manufacturer name ‘Acctim’ above the centre and ‘QUARTZ’ below the centre. The protective glass front is embellished with a decorative gold-tone foliate and scrollwork printed border. Inside, the clock houses a quartz movement and a decorative gold-tone lyre-style pendulum. Affixed to the side is a white adhesive label reading ‘HCP Auctions South West Lot 761 www.hcpauctions.net’, and a small pink circular sticker marked ’32’ is located at the top left corner of the case. A folded white paper insert is visible behind the glass dial cover.
Condition report:
The clock is presented in used condition. The wood-finished case exhibits minor surface wear, including light scuffs and scratches along the outer edges consistent with age and use (photo 1). A visible accumulation of dust is present on both the glass and the case (photo 2). There is a small white mark or piece of debris on the dial face near the IX position (photo 2). The quartz movement is untested for mechanical functionality.
