Below the fall-front are two short drawers, each fitted with an integral carved handle in a stylized shell form. The bureau is raised on four cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. Accompanied by a small, matching stool with similar cabriole legs designed to fit underneath the main body. The construction is of solid teak hardwood. A white rectangular adhesive label is applied to the top centre reading Lot 828. A blue-bordered white adhesive label is positioned on the top right reading HCP Auctions South West and Lot 892. No maker’s marks, signatures, or stamps are visible on the exterior of the piece.
