Lot 891: A Pair of Vintage Terrazzo Pattern Glass Placemats / Worktop Savers
A pair of vintage terrazzo pattern glass placemats / worktop savers, of rectangular form with rounded corners. The items are constructed from toughened glass with a polished, glossy surface finish. The decoration features a modern terrazzo-style pattern composed of irregular flecks in navy blue, white, and pale blue-grey set against a light grey ground. Regarding marks, one board bears a white rectangular adhesive label printed with HCP Auctions South West, Lot 891, and www.hcpauctions.net; no manufacturer marks or country of origin labels are readable on either piece.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good used condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or deep scratches to the glass edges or surfaces (photos 1 and 2). The glossy finish remains bright, although minor light surface scratches consistent with domestic use may be present upon close inspection. One board has a paper auction label attached.
