Buyer's Premium:

A vintage ES, GR and MZ stamp collection, comprising various mint and used specimens mounted on album pages and stored within a blue plastic container. The collection features several mint perforated sets from Spain issued in 1962, including the Berruguete sculptor series, the Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar El Cid issue, and the third Europa series decorated with honeycomb motifs. Also present is a page of used butterfly stamps from Portuguese East Africa (Mozambique) bearing circular date stamp cancellations. A substantial portion of the lot consists of used Greek stamps depicting classical architecture, athletes, and Europa CEPT commemoratives from the early 1960s. The lot includes a commercial express mail cover sent from Barcelona to London, featuring a red EXPRÉS service stamp and two purple 8 Ptas stamps depicting a religious figure. Most specimens are mounted on paper or card leaves, some of which feature handwritten pencil annotations and prices including a label reading RES. 100 Pts. 61.

Condition report:

The collection displays a range of conditions consistent with a bulk lot. The 1962 Spanish sets appear in good mint condition with intact perforations and bright colour (photo 1). The used stamps from Greece and Mozambique show light to moderate circular date stamp cancellations, some of which are placed off-centre (photo 1 and 2). The mounting pages exhibit general wear, including light creasing and toning to the paper edges, with some handwritten notations in pencil (photo 2). The commercial express cover shows typical signs of postal handling, including minor corner softening and faint surface soiling (photo 1). No major thins or tears are immediately visible to the stamp specimens.
