Lot 900: Vintage Blaupunkt Ultra Steam Gen Steam Generator Iron
A vintage Blaupunkt Ultra Steam Gen steam generator iron, constructed with a blue and black plastic housing. The appliance consists of a handheld iron unit featuring a stainless steel soleplate and a blue rotary temperature control dial positioned beneath the handle. The iron sits atop a base station which incorporates an integrated water tank marked with a horizontal MAX fill line and a metal rest plate for the iron. A blue locking clip is located at the front of the base to secure the iron in place. The iron body is printed with the name ● BLAUPUNKT in white and blue lettering, and the model name ULTRA STEAM GEN is marked on a white band along the side. Two cautionary heat warning symbols, consisting of a triangle enclosing three wavy vertical lines, are present on the body. A standard UK three-pin power plug is attached. The item bears two white adhesive labels: one on the handle reading HCP Auction Lot 90 followed by illegible characters, and a handwritten label reading S766 on the side of the housing.
Condition report:
The item is in used condition with visible surface dust and smudging across the black plastic surfaces (photo 1). The metal rest plate on the base station shows light scuffing and contact wear from regular use (photo 1). Functionality has not been tested.
