Lot 901: A Vintage Benson Black Tolex-Covered Practice Guitar Amplifier
A vintage Benson black tolex-covered practice guitar amplifier, of compact square form with a textured black finish. The cabinet is constructed from composite board with a black tolex wrap, featuring a top carry handle with metal hardware and plastic corner protectors to each edge. The front is fitted with a black fabric speaker grille and a vertical metal control plate. Control features include a power rocker switch with an indicator light, a quarter-inch headphone output, rotary adjustment knobs for bass, treble, and volume, and a quarter-inch instrument input jack. The grille bears an applied stylized green script logo reading Benson. A white adhesive label is present to the side reading HCP Auctions South West Lot 901, and a further adhesive sticker to the grille bears the handwritten characters S 766.

Condition report:
The amplifier is in used condition, showing a heavy accumulation of dust and surface grime across the grille and cabinet (photo 1). There is visible surface oxidation and rust to the metal screws and the hardware for the carry handle (photo 1). Minor scuffs and light wear are present to the tolex covering and plastic corner protectors (photo 1). The unit is sold as seen and has not been tested for electrical operation.
