Lot 929: A Vintage Go Explore Hard-shell Suitcase and Assorted Contents
A vintage Go Explore hard-shell suitcase and assorted contents. The suitcase is manufactured from a silver-grey textured hard plastic with horizontal ribbing, featuring black carrying handles and corner guards secured by screws. A square silver-toned metal plaque is centrally located on the front, bearing the readable brand name GO EXPLORE. The interior is filled with various leisure and utility items, notably a Mattel Star Wars Pictionary Air game in its original retail box, a Friends Top Trumps Quiz in a white plastic case, and a boxed chess set. Additional contents include a Magic Saw multi-blade hand saw set in yellow blister packaging, a red plastic tool, a Rupert Bear annual, and a variety of craft paints and books. A white adhesive sticker is present on the lower shell reading HGP Auctions South West 929. One boxed item features Vegan Approved and Natural Origin logos.
Condition report:
The suitcase shell exhibits surface scuffs and a prominent brown mark to the right side of the front (photo 1). The handles and zip appear intact. The contents in retail packaging, such as the Star Wars game and Magic Saw set, show minor shelf wear and creasing to the outer boxes but the items within appear generally well-preserved (photo 2 and 3).
