Lot 85: A Vintage Avondale Perle Orion Custom Single Axle Touring Caravan
A vintage Avondale Perle Orion Custom single-axle touring caravan, dating from the late 20th century and presented as a restoration project. The exterior features cream-coloured body panels decorated with a horizontal tri-colour stripe in shades of orange and brown. The caravan is marked with a cursive Orion script to the side and front panels, alongside block lettering reading Custom PERLE and a partially legible Avondale maker’s mark to the front upper section. The interior is configured with bench seating, overhead storage lockers, and a central kitchen area. The kitchen is fitted with a stainless steel integrated unit comprising a two-burner gas hob and a circular sink with a folding tap. A gas heater is installed within the main cabin area bearing a printed Carver label. A dealer sticker for J.R.C. Caravans, Gloucester is adhered to the exterior (photo 15). The chassis is equipped with manual stabiliser legs, a front jockey wheel, and a standard hitch assembly. Gross vehicle weight and payload are not recorded on visible exterior plates. The lot includes a bundled green and grey fabric awning or cover.
