A cast stone garden statue of a sleeping cherub, depicted in a recumbent, curled pose. The figure is nestled within its own large, feathered wings, which wrap around the torso and legs to form a self-contained, oval-shaped ornament. The piece is manufactured from a reconstituted stone with a granular, textured surface throughout. A pink adhesive paper label is applied to the central torso, bearing the hand-written text ‘Sleeping Cherub 9622 R-£8’ in red ink. The underside features a flat, unfinished cast surface and shows no readable maker’s marks or inscriptions.
