Lot 255: A Pair of Reconstituted Stone Staddle Stones
A pair of reconstituted stone staddle stones, each of traditional two-part construction. Every piece comprises a circular, slightly domed cap with a coarse-textured surface, supported by a rectangular pedestal base with a tapered profile. The pedestals are finished with vertical striated texture intended to simulate hand-chiselled masonry. The material is a light buff-coloured cast stone with a consistent sandy appearance. A pink adhesive note is present on one cap reading ‘Saddle Stones 9622 R – £44’.
