Lot 418: An Assortment of Decorative Household Items and Collectibles including Cat Figurines
A collection of decorative household items and collectibles of various materials and styles. The lot includes a group of cat-themed figurines. Two larger examples in a black finish are presented within a woven twig basket lined with clear plastic (photo 4). A group of smaller ceramic cats, including tabby-marked examples in various recumbent and playing poses, are contained within a circular cut glass bowl (photo 2). Ceramic vessels include a lavender-glazed pot, a white scalloped-edge planter, a deep blue bowl, and a cream-coloured pot featuring a polychrome transfer-printed floral design of roses and yellow flowers (photo 3). Metalware and home accessories comprise a large circular tray decorated with a dense Art Nouveau-style floral pattern in shades of green and ochre (photo 5), a brushed metal picture frame with a studded perimeter (photo 1), and a wall-mounted metal coat rack with four spherical finials in green, orange, yellow, and red (photo 5). Also present is a small decorative storage box featuring a pink gingham pattern and bicycle illustration (photo 2). No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the items.
