Lot 531: Two Pieces of Decorative Floral Glazed Earthenware
Two pieces of decorative glazed earthenware featuring floral motifs. The first item is a tall cylindrical vase with a flared scalloped rim, decorated with hand-painted high-relief pink floral blossoms, blue florets, and green foliage on brown branches, set against a cream ground and framed by a pink rope-twist border. The base of the vase is incised with the digits 21. The second item is a pedestal compote comprising a shallow bowl on a flared foot, transfer-printed with a central motif of pink roses and blue leaves. It is accented with concentric blue bands to the rim and foot, and a scrolling blue foliate border to the interior rim. The compote contains associated artificial white and red fabric flowers.
