Lot 601: An Assortment of Ceramic and Composite Animal Figurines and Decorative Vessels
A miscellaneous collection of decorative ceramic and composite figurines and vessels. The group includes a large, realistically modelled grey tabby cat figurine in a reclining pose with painted green eyes. Accompanying it is a smaller ginger and white tabby cat figurine, also in a reclining pose. A white ceramic swan figurine with a matte bisque finish features a curved neck and moulded feather detailing with painted facial features. The lot contains a small ceramic bud vase with a flared rim and footed base, decorated with a transfer-printed design of a black and white trellis background with orange and white floral sprigs. A large ceramic vessel of compressed ovoid form is decorated in an Art Deco style with bold sections of orange and yellow glaze and a central green leaf motif. Also included is a carved grey composite or cast resin deity bust, featuring a detailed headdress. The collection is completed by several smaller animal figurines including a giraffe and a black quadruped. No maker’s marks, signatures, or factory stamps are visible on the items.
