Lot 660: A Mašek Pinocchio Marionette
A Czech string puppet or marionette depicting the Disney character Pinocchio, produced by Mašek. The puppet features a painted head with a yellow hat, wooden hands and legs, and black painted shoes. The figure is dressed in a yellow shirt, a blue fabric necktie, a black felt waistcoat with white trim, and red shorts with two white buttons. The marionette is operated by a central metal rod and five black strings attached to a trapezoidal wooden control handle. The control handle is printed in black with the manufacturer name Mašek – umělecká výroba and the website address www.umeleckavyroba.cz. The handle also bears a CE mark, a small graphic icon of a stick-figure puppet, and the phrase chráněný vzor.
