Lot 677: An Assortment of Nautical-Themed Decorative Items and Souvenirs
An assortment of nautical-themed decorative items comprising a fine bone china tankard, a souvenir lighthouse, a miniature ship in a bottle, and a molded glass component. The English fine bone china tankard is decorated with a transfer-printed image of a three-masted sailing ship under full sail against a cloudy sky, finished with a gilt rim and an ornate scrolled handle. The underside of the tankard bears a black printed backstamp within a foliate cartouche featuring a crown symbol and reading Royal Grafton Fine Bone China MADE IN ENGLAND. The lot includes a painted ceramic souvenir lighthouse featuring an integrated spirit thermometer set into the tower and a textured base finished to resemble natural rock, which is hand-inscribed in red paint ST IVES. Also present is a miniature wooden sailing ship contained within a small glass bottle with a white plastic cap, the assembly mounted onto a natural unpolished stone base. Completing the group is a blue molded glass decorative item featuring a raised scrolling foliate and shell pattern.
