Lot 678: A Decorative Hand-Blown Glass Globe Diorama with Exterior Berry Wreath and Cherub
A hand-blown glass globe of pale green tint containing a naturalistic diorama. The interior is composed of a yellow-toned faux bird, several pine cones, a red and yellow faux apple, dried moss, a green fabric leaf, and scattered pieces of iridescent foil. The neck of the vessel is adorned with an exterior wreath made of dried red berries on a twisted vine base, integrated with a strand of faceted amber-coloured beads and a small cast gold-toned metal cherub figure. The glass sphere displays characteristic features of hand-blown production, including small air bubbles known as seeds and subtle surface striations. No maker marks, signatures, or manufacturer labels are visible on the object.
