Lot 692: A Set of Four Mid-20th Century Hand-painted Stoneware Cups and Saucers
A set of four mid-20th century hand-painted stoneware cups and saucers. The cups are designed with a faceted and fluted lower body and simple loop handles. Each piece is finished in a speckled, off-white glaze. The cups are decorated with a hand-painted horizontal chevron band in tones of olive green, blue-grey, and burnt orange. The matching saucers are circular with a shallow well and a dark brown concentric band applied near the slightly raised outer rim. No maker’s marks, factory stamps, or signatures are visible on any of the pieces.
