Lot 791: A Set of Four Rustic Branch-Wood and Reclaimed Timber Side Chairs
A set of four rustic side chairs of primitive construction. The frames are built from weathered, naturally shaped tree branches and driftwood-style limbs, resulting in unique, asymmetrical forms for each piece. The seats are composed of vertical slats of weathered, reclaimed timber, several of which retain traces of original red, green, and white paint. Heavy, twisted natural-fibre rope is lashed around various joints and integrated into the backrests and side supports as functional and decorative elements. The joinery consists of internal metal fasteners reinforced with decorative rope bindings.
