Lot 945: An Art Deco Arched Frameless Bevelled Wall Mirror
An Art Deco frameless wall mirror with a shaped, arched top. The mirror plate is finished with a bevelled edge and is mounted onto a wooden backing board. The reverse of the backing board displays a circular black ink stamp comprising a central anchor motif within two concentric circles; the outer ring contains the printed words BRITISH and TRADE MARK. A further stamped mark to the left shows the letter R positioned above two short vertical bars ||. These marks do not spell out a maker’s name. The reverse also bears remnants of old adhesive tape and paper fragments.
