Lot 41: A Vintage Steel Fluke Style Boat Anchor with Chain

This auction ended on 31 October 2026.

Start price: £8

Estimated price: £8 - £12

Buyer's Premium: 20%

A vintage steel fluke style boat anchor with chain, featuring a traditional lightweight pattern design. The anchor is constructed from heavy-gauge fabricated steel plates and bars, comprising a large, flat triangular fluke, a central rectangular-section shank, and a transverse stock passing through the base of the fluke. The assembly includes a length of heavy-duty iron or steel chain linked to the top of the shank. The entire surface exhibits an authentic, heavily weathered patina with significant oxidation and deep pitting, consistent with prolonged marine exposure. There are no legible manufacturer marks or brand names visible on the fluke or shank. A white adhesive inventory label is present on the face of the fluke.
