Lot 524: A Group of Gilt Decorated White Porcelain Dinner Wares

This auction ended on 31 October 2026.

Start price: £5

Estimated price: £5 - £10

Buyer's Premium: 20%

Sold for: £5

A group of white porcelain dinner wares featuring a minimalist aesthetic with twin parallel gold bands around the rims. The collection is centred around a large circular lidded tureen which sits upon a matching underplate. The tureen lid is surmounted by a decorative sculptural finial in the form of a budding rose or flower with leaves, highlighted with gold accents. The lot includes a large circular open serving bowl, an oval serving platter, and a sauce boat with an integrated stand. Complementing the serving pieces are a stack of dinner plates and a stack of smaller circular bowls, possibly for desserts or cereal. Each piece is finished in a clean white glaze, providing a classic contrast to the gilt decoration. No maker’s marks or backstamps are visible on the pieces, as the undersides are not shown.
